What is Truth

The conversation recorded in the gospel of John between our Savior and the Roman Governor has Pilate asking the Lord this question: "What is Truth?" Jesus makes it clear, He came into this world to testify to the Truth-and only those who belong to the Truth will Listen to His voice. (see John 18:38)

Do you hear His voice? Do you belong to the Truth? Will you continue to follow what you WANT to believe or will you follow Truth?

Jesus says we must worship the Father in spirit and Truth (John 4:24). Jesus says He is the Truth (John 14:6). We must know the Truth to know Jesus and we must love the Truth to love Jesus.

To find the Truth we can go to the Word of God from the beginning, in the Garden of Eden (read Gen 3) The Serpent told the very first lie, "thou shall not surely die."

Even today, this same LIE is being told in movies; books; television; and sad to say even in most Christian churches throughout the world.

God makes it clear that He is to be worshipped on His terms easily understood in the story of Cain and Able, the two sons of Adam and Eve in the book of Genesis chapter 4. God had no respect for Cain's offering of the fruit of the ground, for Cain knew to bring a blood sacrifice which was to represent the sacrifice of Jesus and His blood, but instead he brought an offering on his own terms, which was in turn, rejected by God. One reason so many denomonations exist today is that so many choose to worship God on thier own terms. We should all agree that disobedience to God is sin and sin comes from Satan. If we know the results of failing to worship God on His terms, and the possible rejection therof, then why do so many worship God on Satan's terms? The Bible makes it clear how to worship God and we must worship Him in Truth!
